Here we are, 2 issues in, and I am already getting that nostalgic feeling that I get every time I read Green Lantern Rebirth. The feeling where you just know that something really good from the past; something you loved and have been missing for years, is coming back. I took a 10 year hiatus from comics some years ago, and came back in right when GL: Rebirth was hitting the stands, but didn't get to read it until it was in trade. So I can't tell you how pumped I am to be here witness to this great DC event: the legit and long awaited return of Barry Allen, THE Flash.

I have to admit that the first issue left me a little confused, but that is why #2 is my pick of the week. The first issue threw out a ton of information about what Barry is up to, how he feels being back, but also introduced a few plot threads that I wasn't familiar with, and didn't know how I was to feel about them. This second issue clairifies nearly all of those points such as the Savitar conection, and why Barry is killing every speedster he touches.

I think that Geoff Johns is DC's greatest mastermind, and Ethan Van Sciver's art is just what Flash needs to bring him back to life. I loved Wally West, but Barry Allen is the real deal, and I think we are in for quite a run.

PICK IT UP!

See you in the future! AC
